Welcome to the coin collecting alert!

My name is Tom and I started this site some time ago because I have interest in trading and the gold market. The more I found out about the gold market, the more I realized how large the coin market is as well.

To a certain degree there is trading going on in the coin market too, but of course it involves a while different dynamic.

I want to be honest with you however, at this point right now, I know almost nothing about coin collecting!  I started this site as a way to learn about this hobby and field and see what I can discover.

I hope in my quest to uncover this hobby you also gain something.

At first glance it seems this is a very worthwhile hobby both for kids and adults as well. It involves history, governments, tradition and best of all it is something which you can hold in your hand at the end of the day and feel good about it.

The next 10 or 20 years I think will be ones where all world economies go through large shifts and adjustments.  I understand it will be an age where things of value and things that are tangible will become very valuable and provide a good store of value.

So it seems to be one of the best times to discover and learn about this hobby. I hope what I cover on this site appeals to you.
